Thomas Leo Odom
Mr. Thomas Leo Odom, age 82, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021 in Crestview, Fla.
He was a native of Brewton, Ala., former resident of Lake Wales, Fla. and had resided in Atmore, Ala. for the past fifty-six years. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and was a member of Grace Fellowship Community Church. He was owner-operator of Odom’s Service Center of Perdido, Ala. and served as Sergeant at Arms with the Atmore American Legion Post.
Mr. Odom is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Shirley Smith Odom of Atmore; four sons: Frankie (John) Morgan of Jacksonville, Fla., Richard (Robin) Morgan of Canoe, Ala., Tony Odom of Atmore and Kenneth (Ceola) Odom of Pace, Fla.; one daughter, Rhonda (Barry) Middleton of Bay Minette, Ala.; one brother, Rual (Jackie) Odom of Lakeland, Fla.; one sister, Charlotte (Billy Ray) Williams of Davisville, Fla.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends..
Graveside services will be held Friday, March 19, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Bro. Earl Harrison officiating.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 19, 2021 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be the American Legion.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Grace Fellowship Community Church Missionary Fund.

Troy DeWayne Boutwell
Mr.
Troy DeWayne Boutwell, age 52, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 in Century,
Fla.
He was born in Pensacola, Fla. and had resided in Flomaton, Ala. for most of
his life. He was a self-employed Tree Surgeon and mechanic. He was of the
Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Boutwell; grandmother, Lelia Boutwell and nephew, Drake Boutwell.
Mr. Boutwell is survived by his mother, Betty Babineaux of Flomaton; one son, Kenneth DeWayne Sanders of Century; one daughter, Leila Katherine Sanders of Century; one brother, Alton Ray (Genia) Boutwell of Flomaton; one sister, Samantha Babineaux of Flomaton; nieces, Shain Mathis and Jordyn Boutwell; nephew, Justin (Alie) Boutwell; special friend, Josephine Johnson of Flomaton and other family and many friends.
Graveside services will be held Friday, March 19, 2021 at 3 p.m.at Traveler’s Rest Cemetery.

Henry Douglas Boatwright
Mr. Henry Douglas Boatwright, age 64, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021 in Pensacola, Fla. He was a native of Century, Fla. and had resided in Byrneville, Fla. for the past twenty-eight years. He was a self-employed lawnmower repairman. He loved fishing and working on lawnmowers with his baby brother, Jerry Wayne Boatwright.
He
was preceded in death by his parents, Jean Day and Glannie Pearl Boatwright;
two brothers, Wayne Boatwright and Charles Boatwright and sister, Margie Quick.
Mr. Boatwright is survived by his significant other, Crystal Stone of
Pensacola; four step-sons, Mark Walston, Luke Walston, Thomas Walston and John
Henry Walston all of Pensacola; one brother, Billy Boatwright of Byrneville;
four sisters, Gloria Jean (Ray) Lawson of Century, Judy (David) Tillery of
Atmore, Ala., Sue (Jr.) Walston of Century, and Kathy (Donald) Walston of
Pensacola; extended family, Sharon Eddings, Charlene Harri, Samuel Walston, Max
Walston and a special thank you to Brenda Boller.

Mrs. Leslie Charlene Vickery, age 66, passed
away on Sunday, March 21, 2021 in Atmore, Ala.
She was a native of Belton, Texas and has resided in Atmore for the past 27
years. She was a member of the New Home Church.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, Charles Sr. and Leslie Roberts and son, William J. Vickery.
Mrs. Vickery is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, William Vickery
of Atmore; one son, Randal Vickery of Atmore; one daughter, Jennifer Vickery (Travis) Kelly of
Crossroads, Ala; two brothers, Charles (Julie) Roberts, Jr. of Monroe, Mich.
and Otis (Elaine) Roberts of Troy, Texas; two sisters, Linda (James) Broome of
Troy, Texas and Helen (Dan) Spence of Dickinson, Texas; four grandchildren,
Michaela Robertson, William Jason Vickery, Kierra Kelly and Travis Kelly, Jr.;
one great-grandchild, Chance Haywood and numerous nieces, nephews, other
relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 2 p.m. at
Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Breceda officiating. Burial
will follow at the New Home Cemetery.

Mrs. Tammy Ann Martin, age 56, passed away Friday,
March 19, 2021 in Pensacola, Fla. She was born in Atmore, Ala., former resident
of Louisiana, Bristol, England and had resided in Pensacola for the past 21
years. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed
music, reading, writing poetry and her grandchildren. She was a retired Legal
Secretary, a retired Kindergarten Teacher and was a member of the Pine Forrest
United Methodist Church and Liberty Inter Demonational Church.
Mrs. Martin is survived by her parents, Alton and Muriel Killam of Bratt, Fla.;
husband of twenty-one years, Timothy Scott Martin of Pensacola; two sons, David
Eugene (Jessica) Hawkins and Nikolaus Salter, all of Pensacola; one daughter,
Kara (James) Sunday of Pensacola,; one brother, Tony Alton Killam of Bratt;
five grandchildren, Christian, Landon, Lexie, Brody and Brantley and numerous
nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 2 p.m. at

Mrs. Helen Everette Sasser, age 82, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021 in Foley, Ala. She was an Atmore native but had resided in Foley for the past twenty nine years.
She was as predeceased by her husband, Gerald Sasser; parents, Joe and Marie Everette and daughter Linda Jo Davis.
Mrs. Sasser is survived by daughters, Karen Davis Llewellyn, and Mary Davis Nobles; grandchildren, Chris Holt, Ashley Holt, and Loren Powell, great-grandchildren, Kayla Holt, Brooklyn Michael; several great-great-grandchildren; her brother; Jimmie Everette and sister, Nancy Everette Chance.
Mrs. Sasser will be buried at Barrancas Cemetery in a private family service at a later time.

Lardell McCants
Ms. Lardell McCants, 80, of Atmore answered the Master’s Call on Friday, March 19, 2021 at the Atmore Nursing Center.
A native of Atmore. Ms. McCants was a graduate of Escambia County Training School. She worked for over 20 years as a cook at Wind Creek Casino aka “The Bingo Palace.” She served faithfully as an Usher at Gaines Chapel AME Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Mae Singleton; her father, Alfonso McCants; and her stepfather, L. V. Singleton.
Those left to cherish memories of her life are her son, Jerome McCants of Atmore; her sister, Margaret Singleton of Atmore; her brother, Willie Goldsmith, Sr. of Montevallo, Ala.; and two granddaughters, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her Gaines Chapel AME Church Family.
Public viewing will be held Friday, March 26, 2021 from 2 to 5 pm at the funeral home. Facial masks are required and social distancing will be implemented.
Graveside service will be Saturday, March 27, 2021, 1 p.m., at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Cleitus Walker officiating.

Mr. Charles McDowell was born on July 5, 1944 to Mr. Till McDowell, Sr. and Willie Mae McDowell in Atmore, Alabama. He peacefully transitioned from time to eternity on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Till and Willie Mae McDowell, Sr.; sister, Jessie Mae Price; brothers: Willie Earl McDowell and David Lee McDowell.
