The following press release was issued by the Office of John Robert Fountain, Escambia County Circuit Clerk:
Please be advised that the December 14, 2020 jury term has been cancelled due to the recent increase in positive COVID 19 tests in Escambia County. If you received a jury summons to the December 14 jury term, please disregard that notice.
The Escambia County court system is pursuing all possible avenues to reduce the risk of COVID to the public and court personnel.
At the direction of Presiding Circuit Judge Jeffrey Alan White, jury terms will resume in January 2021 as scheduled.
