Special to Atmore News
Monday, November 9, Chamber President Emilee Waters and Executive Director Anna Norton visited local schools to get a jumpstart on the giving season. Through the Chamber’s trustees, members, and board of directors, the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce was able to present the local-area schools with more than $17,000. Each school received an equal portion for the funds to be used on items the students need such as equipment, technology, supplies, and the like.
“The Chamber understands how much everyone has been affected by the struggles of 2020,” Norton said. “This is a way for us to invest where we see it most beneficial – our future. These students will grow up to become our future leaders, our future decision-makers, our future society. We gladly give to our future by giving back to our schools.”
