Poarch Creek Tribal Police arrested three people — two men and a woman — on Labor Day (Monday, September 7) after reportedly catching them in the act of breaking into vehicles in the Poarch community, apparently in broad daylight, then having to hunt one of them down.
Those arrested were Kenneth Daniel Dick, 38, and Jade Moore Jordan, 24, both of Montgomery, and Scott Jordan Thompson, 34, of Hayneville.
Each is charged with unlawful breaking and entering of a vehicle and possession of burglary tools. Dick is also charged with first-degree vehicle theft and attempting to elude officers.
Details of the arrest are sketchy, and reports show only that the crimes were committed on the Poarch reservation.
Warrants issued for the three show that Thompson was arrested at 1:46 p.m., Jordan was put in cuffs seven minutes later, and Dick was taken into custody at 2:04 p.m.
Each of the three suspects was released after separate bonds of $15,000 were posted.
