Alabama State Troopers reported Monday, August 31, that a Baldwin County teen lost his life in a freak one-vehicle accident that happened early Sunday on a rural Escambia County road.
Troopers reported that 19-year-old Garrett D. Phillips of Robertsdale was killed when he fell from a 2002 Toyota Tacoma, which was being driven by William D. Ray, also 19 and also of Robertsdale.
The fatal mishap occurred shortly after midnight Sunday, on Kent Road, which connects Ewing Drive and Ewing Road in western Escambia County.
No further information was available by Tuesday’s press deadline as troopers continued to investigate the fatal incident.
