Aldene Hiebert Schneider

Mrs. Aldene Hiebert Schneider, age 86, of Fountain Run, Ky., passed away Friday, April 17, 2020 at NHC Health Care in Glasgow, Ky.  She was born in Kansas to the late Albert and Helena (Ensz) Hiebert. She was a homemaker, LPN and co-owner of a Farm Supply Store in Walnut Hill, Fla. She was a member of Fountain Run Mennonite Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Marvin Dean Schneider; a son, William Dean “Bill,” Schneider and brother, Allen Hiebert.

Mrs. Schneider is survived by two daughters and sons-in-laws, Rita and Greg Eicher of Fountain Run; Jan and Randy Dirks, of Cheraw, S.C.; sister, Joyce Funk, and husband, Virgil, of Topeka, Kans.; brother, Ron Hiebert, and wife, Marilyn, of Hillsboro, Kans. and daughter-in-law, Denise Faircloth (Wayne), of Albertsville, Ala.; eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

 Due to the current situations and regulations of COVID-19, all services will be private.

 Burial will be held in Walnut Hill Memorial Garden in Walnut Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Fountain Run Funeral Home and Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc.

Chester Bluford Byrd

Mr. Chester Bluford Byrd, age 80, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Thursday, 23, 2020 in Pensacola, Fla. He was born in McCullough, Ala. He owned and operated Byrd’s Heating and Air for many years and later retired. He was a member of Judson Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vester L. Byrd, Sr.; his mother, Nola Mullins Kizer; brothers; Charles Douglas Byrd and Vester L. Byrd, Jr.

Mr. Byrd is survived by his wife, Earline F. Byrd of Atmore; children, Angie (Blevin) Davis of Milton, Fla., Douglas (Kulua) Byrd and Michael (Tiffany) Byrd, all of Atmore; grandchildren, Alysha (Blake) Cunningham, Samantha Byrd (Trista Smith), Heather (Nate) Fernandez, Dalton Davis (Andrea Carnley), Taylor Byrd, Harley Byrd and Jaxon Byrd; great-grandchildren, Adrienne Chong, Traegan Chong, Kaydence Popejoy, Blakelynn Cunningham, Cole Cunningham, Ophelia Byrd and Aurora Frost.

Graveside services were held Sunday, April 26, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Bro. Brett Chancery officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Doug Byrd, Mike Byrd, Adam Bailey, Mark Snowden, Ellie Bailey and Dalton Davis.

Honorary pallbearers were Blake Cunningham, Nate Fernandez, Tommy Pickern, Harley Byrd and Jaxson Byrd.

Robert “Gene” Tyree

Mr. Robert “Gene” Tyree, age 64, passed away Friday, April 24, 2020 in Mobile, Ala. He was a native and former resident of Atmore, Ala. and had resided in Flomaton, Ala. for the past fifteen years. He was a retired truck driver and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernie “Snoots” and Bobbie Eloise Tyree and brother, Shorty Tyree.
Mr. Tyree is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Patsy “Pat” Tyree of Flomaton; three sons, Robert Brandon (Rebecca) Tyree of McHenry, Miss., Eddie L. (Marie) Peek of Flomaton, and Robert “Bobby” Peek of Canton, Ga.; three daughters, Kristy Lynn (Shane) Osborne of McHenry, Miss., Jessica Riley Tyree and Tammy Jernigan, both of Flomaton; two sisters, Annice (Don) Atwell and Pam (Billy) Ridlehoover, all of Dothan, Ala.; twelve grandchildren, Auston, Ashlyn, Waylon, Aubrey, Robby, Olivia, Samantha, Jamie, Jessica, Caitlan, Jacob and Gracie and ten great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Sunday, April 26, 2020 at 2 p.m. at McCullough Cemetery with Bro. Richard Daniels officiating.

James Edward Milstid

Mr. James Edward Milstid, age 85, of Bay Minette, Ala., passed away Saturday, April 25, 2020 in Bay Minette. He was born in Perdido, Ala. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a retired mobile home mover.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Milstid, Sr. and Maggie Lee Whittington; brothers, Isaac Milstid, Junior Floyd Milstid, Charles Milstid, Tommie Misted and one sister Valois Hall.

Mr. Milstid is survived by four sons, Earl (Patricia) Milstid of Summerdale, Ala., Rickey (Paula) Milstid of Foley, Ala., Scott Milstid of Pensacola, Fla. and Donald Broussard of Long Beach, Miss.; caretaker, Dolores Crosby and one brother, Guy (Faye) Milstid of Perdido; four grandchildren, Jimmy, Michael, Jonathan, Maggie and six-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 30, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Perdido with Bro. Stoney Daw officiating.

Calvin Jackson Kendrick 

Mr. Calvin Jackson Kendrick, age 66, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020 in Denver, Colo. He was a native and former resident of Georgiana, Ala. and had resided in Atmore, Ala. most of his life. He was an uncle, great uncle and loved his nieces and nephews as his own. He was an employee of Kendrick Construction and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Colonel and Lila Sophia Kendrick; sister, Jeanette Sells and brother, Robert Lee Kendrick.

Mr. Kendrick is survived by a special niece and caregiver, Laura Sells of Denver; four brothers, John Carlton Kendrick of Bay Minette, Ala., Charles Kendrick of Camden, Ala., Melton (Rhonda) Kendrick of Atmore and David (Kristie) Kendrick of Foley, Ala.; five sisters, Ruby Faye (Billy) Owens of Silverhill, Ala., Mary Lou (Anthony) Pizzoti, Sr. of Fairhope, Ala., Ann (Pete) Nelson of Daphne, Ala., Billie Ann Edwards and Carol Ann (Wayne) Pruitt, all of Atmore; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 27, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Petty- Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Tony Sells officiating. Burial will follow at Judson Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 27, 2020 from 12:30 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Travis Kendrick, Josh Phillips, Drake Hamilton, Trennon Hamilton, Brian Davison and Randy Fretwell.

Damian Stewart Singleton

Mr. Damian Stewart Singleton, age 16, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020 in Mobile, Ala.

He was a native and former resident of Bay Minette, Ala. and had resided in Perdido, Ala. for the past thirteen years. He was active in the Perdido Baptist Church Youth Group; the football and wrestling teams at Baldwin County High School and the Athletic Department at Perdido Middle School. Damian was Salutatorian when he graduated from Perdido School with a 4.0 grade average; was an organ donor and has saved six lives to date.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, DC and Rosetta Arrington and W.M. Stewart; cousin, Desmond Cox and a great-uncle, Roy Stewart.

Mr. Singleton is survived by his parents, Jonathan and Jodi Singleton of Perdido; grandparents, Sherrie (Allen) Creppel of Bay Minette, Danny (Robin) Stewart of Stockton, Ala., Tammie Stewart of Bay Minette, Harold Bo (Debbie) Weekley of Perdido, Murray (Mary Alice) Stewart of Rabun, Ala. and Curtis (Patricia) Singleton of Miss.; mother and father by love, Bruce (Heather) Jackson of Perdido; three brothers, J.W. Jackson, Billy Jackson and Eli Jackson all of Perdido; four sisters, Madison LaShay Stewart, Haley Johnson, Maranda “LuLu” Singleton and Sophie Knowles Singleton, all of Perdido; soon to be niece, Delilah Cooper and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Bay Minette Cemetery with Sis. Helen Stewart officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 28, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be J.W. Jackson, Billy Jackson, Bryant Langley, Bubba Tyree, Jacob Hattamer, Zach Coleman, Tabarro Reed and Ty Drinkard.
Honorary Pallbearers will be his classmates.

Comer Earle Vickery

Mr. Comer Earle Vickery, age 69, of Atmore, Ala. passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 at his residence. He was a commercial truck driver. He was born in Huxford, Ala. to the late Comer and Eva Mae Weston Vickery.

He was preceded in death by parents; daughter, Tonya Lynn Jackson; siblings, Jean Majors, Mary Clarice Walls and Dalton Vickery.

Mr. Vickery is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Rebecca Ann Jones Vickery of Atmore; one son, James Ledford of Atmore, AL.; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth (William) Kennedy of Pensacola, Fla.; two brothers, Maurice (Libby) Vickery and Dennis Vickery; three sisters, Gay (Wayne) Drew of McCullough, Ala., Jan (Al) Finchman of Gordenville, Va. Annette Thompson of Bay Minette, Ala.; three grandchildren, Josh Yeend, Matthew Mosley, Barittane Gibert; great-grandchildren, Cayson, Bileigh Huntleigh, Ava Caroline Ryker, Alexis, and Lanie Ray.

Services will be held at a later date.

Ceres Stark Rodgers    

Mrs. Ceres Stark Rodgers, age 95, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 in Atmore. She was born in Atlanta, Ga. She was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Atmore where she served in many capacities.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stafford Stark and Lura Fouche Stark; husband Dr. Henry H. Rodgers, Jr; siblings, Stafford Stark, Jr; Buell McCutchen and Margaret Rodgers Kemp.

Mrs. Rodgers  is survived by three sons, Todd (Deborah) Rodgers of Marietta, Ga.; Matthew (Sheri) Rodgers of Navarre, Fla. and Mark (Cynthia) Rodgers of Atmore; grandchildren, Brian, Amanda, Kathryn, Suzanne, Mark, Jr., Bradley, Kevi, Jennifer and numerous great and great- grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 1, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. John Phillips and Rev Albert Kennington officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Evelyn Oree Killam, age 95, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2020 in Century, Fla. She was a native and life-long resident of Byrneville, Fla. She was a member of the Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church.

Ms. Killam is survived by her brother, John Elton (Betty) Killam of Century; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 30, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Beulah Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Tim Floyd officiating.
