Despite double-figure scoring efforts from Caeden Battles and Gage Gades, Atmore Christian’s Rams fell to Second Emmanuel Christian School, 80-47, on January 17.
Battles scored 19 points; Gades followed with 14.
Emmett Battles added five points; Jace Weber sank two two-pointers; Reese White had three points, and Titus Dean scored two.
The Rams also fell short last Thursday, January 16 against Lighthouse Baptist, falling by a 51-41 margin.
Caeden Battles, who piled up 22 points, was again the top scorer for Rams, and Gades, who registered 9, was again second. Jaden Torres chipped in 6 points; Weber and White scored two each.
With the back-to-back losses, Atmore Christian’s season record evens out at 7-7.
In earlier conversations with ACS head coach Tim Battles, Battles stressed that the keys to success for the Rams was protecting the ball and improving shooting percentages.
“We have to make shots,” Battles said. “We will work to improve in the areas that we need to and hope for a better week against some tough opponents.”
The Rams will travel to face S.L. Jones this Friday, January 24.
