Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce will present the return of Music on Main, an after-hours event that features music and extended hours for shopping.
The popular event will take place this Thursday, November 15, from 5 to 7 p.m.
“Music will be sprinkled inside throughout the downtown businesses,” Chamber Executive Director Emily Wilson said. “We’re really excited about this change to the formatting. We believe it will benefit our members for the community enjoyment.”
Several downtown businesses, including three food service establishments, will observe extended hours as part of Music on Main, which was originally staged in the alley along the 100-block of North Main.
Also on Thursday, the Chamber will officially “kick off” the holiday season with a new event that will hopefully become a community favorite, a Christmas Window Decorating Contest.
Winners will be determined by the community and will be announced at this year’s Jingle Bell Walk on Thursday, December 6.
