Kelly Gunn
Mr. Kelly Gunn, age 90, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 in Pensacola, Fla. He resided in Bratt, Fla. most of his life. He was a master carpenter with expertise in refinishing wood floors. In addition, he worked in the funeral business for twenty-two years. Throughout the years, he enjoyed himself by attending the American Legion music events. While he did not have any children of his own, he was surrounded by nephews and nieces that loved him dearly. Just recently, he celebrated his 90th birthday with many family and friends at his residence in Bratt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arastis and Barbie Gunn; his wife, Carla Mae Gunn; his brothers, Chester, AR, LD, Coy; and one sister, Della Ann Mason.
Mr. Gunn is survived by his wife, Louree Bailey of Bratt; one sister-in-law, Gracie Gunn of Bratt; many nephews and nieces.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Peebles officiating. Burial follow at Godwin Cemetery.
The family received friends Friday, July 6, 2018 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Eric Gilmore, Nick Clarke, Jason Jaedckson, Brian Conway, Ron Brewton and Gary Gunn.

Judy Elaine Thompson
Mrs. Judy Elaine Thompson, age 66, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018. She was born in Atmore to the late Odell Donaldson and Sylvia Joan Strawbridge Johnson. She was a member of McRae Street United Methodist Church. She was retired from Vanity Fair Mills. After retirement she owned a home day care for over ten years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Joe Johnson; brother-in-law, Bill Phillips; nephew, Chad Phillips and step-brother Jim Johnson.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband of forty years, Clark Duval Thompson of Atmore; two sons, Shayne Godwin (Ashley Harris) of Spanish Fort, Ala., Blake Godwin (Marie Connors) of Bay Minette, Ala., four daughters, Shelley (Billy) Donald, Hope (Shawn) Lassiter, Courtney (Chris) Harrison and Valerie (Mychal) Reddix, all of Atmore; a brother, Gary Donaldson of Atmore; sisters, Peggy Phillips of Atmore, Patty (Gerald Parmer) of Huxford, Ala., Marilyn (Danny) Stone of Birmingham, Ala.; sister-in-law, Sheila Donaldson; grandchildren, Megan, Caitlyn, Hannah, Baylie, Natalie, Eli, Sydnie, Kylie, Meredith, Harper, Riley, Julian, Cam, Sebastian and three great-grandchildren, Nikko, Aurora and Odin.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 6, 2018 at 3 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kenny Moore officiating. Burial followed in Flomaton Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Brandon Phillips, Michael Donaldson, Steven Donaldson, Eli Godwin, Paxton Hobbs and Gary Bailey.

George Marion Colbert
Mr. George Marion Colbert, age 57, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 in Atmore, Al. He was an Industrial Insulator. He was born in Atmore to the late Cullen and Iona Elmira “Dot” Woods Colbert. He was a member of Bratt Assembly of God Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Glenda Fay Colbert and Linda Theon Colbert.
Mr. Colbert is survived by his wife, Terry Kirby Colbert of Atmore; one daughter, Delica Rabb of Monroeville, Ala.; one brother, Robbie (Judy) Colbert of Perdido, Ala.; two grandchildren, Charity and Destinee.
Graveside services were held Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. in Perdido Baptist Cemetery with Bro. Rick Maharrey officiating. Interment followed in Perdido Baptist Cemetery.

Evelyn Carol Kirby
Mrs. Evelyn Carol Kirby, age 67, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 in Bay Minette, Ala. She was a native of Fairhope, Ala. and had resided in White House Fork, Ala. for most of her life. She was retired from Southern Aluminum Casting with 20 years of service and a member of the White House Fork Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Evelyn Toler; sister, Mary Ann Brock and brother, Gary Lamar Toler.
Mrs. Kirby is survived by her husband of forty-four years, Berl Kirby of White House Fork; one daughter, Wanda Kirby of White House Fork; two brothers, Gordon D. (Irene) Toler and John Edward (Margaret) Toler, all of White House Fork; two grandchildren, Austin Vance Kirby and Asia Nichole Kirby.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 11 a.m. at White House Fork Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Lewis officiating. Burial followed at White House Fork Community Cemetery.

Bradford Oneal Kidd
Mr. Bradford Oneal Kidd, age 56, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Saturday, June 28, 2018. He was born in Monroeville, Ala., to Theophlis and Mary Edwina Kidd. He attended Escambia High School. He was a loyal member of God’s Temple of Deliverance. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching hunting shows and finding big foot.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Derik Kidd, I.
Mr. Kidd is survived by his sisters, Verdell Sogers of Charlotte, N.C., Johnnie Kidd of Monroeville, Evangelist Gwen Kidd-Grimes, Delinda Kidd and Joyce Kidd, all of Atmore, Debbie (Kaye) Sigler of Mobile, Ala., Laura Hixon of Grove Hill, Ala; brothers, Theophlis Kidd, Jr. of Monroeville and Thomas (Faye) Kidd of Atmore; sister-in-law, Chandra Kidd; aunts and uncles, Mattie Knight of Mobile, Wynell Beatty of Temple Hills, MD, Sadie Kimbrough, Gloria Kidd, both of Mobile, Willie Lee of Monroeville, (Willie Mae) Kidd, Charles Kidd and Alonza Kidd, Jr, all of Monroeville; devoted friends, Dexter Adams and Lester Johnson, both of Atmore, AL; special Godchildren: Cal Montgomery and Octavia Montgomery and a host of nieces, nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. at God’s Temple of Deliverance with Bishop W C Howard, pastor officiating. Rev Gary Bryant presiding. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery.
Public viewing was held Friday July 6, 2018 from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Christian Memorial Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers were Kidd, II, Kaiza Johnson and Alexander Kidd.
Honorary pallbearers were Stephen Kidd, Brian Kidd and Bradley Malachi Kidd.

Anthony Ual Murph
Mr. Anthony Ual Murph, age 76, of McCullough, Ala., passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 in Pensacola, Fla. He was a farmer. He was born in Escambia County, Ala. to the late Marvin Lee and Lynda Vonteen Ellison Murph.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Brenda Sharon Murph.
Mr. Murph is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Ann Levins Murph of McCullough, Ala.; two sons, Michael Murph of Bratt, Fla., David Murph of McCullough; two brothers, Gary (Bunkie) Murph of Atmore, Ala., Gordon Murph of McCullough; three sisters, Rhonda (Lee) Reynolds and Josalyn Barnett, both of Atmore, Kay (Pat) Mullen of Evergreen, Ala.; a granddaughter, Amy Murph.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 10 a.m. from McCullough Christian Center with Bro. Cornelius Phillips officiating. Interment followed in McCullough Cemetery.

Dorothy Peebles
Mrs. Dorothy Peebles, age 81, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 in Jay, Fla. She resided in Bratt, Fla. most of her adult life. She was a homemaker and also worked at Vanity Fair and the ribbon factory in Atmore, Ala. She also sat with the shut-ins. She was a long time member of Bratt Assembly of God where she and her husband served for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Coy and Willie Mae Gunn; four siblings, Lonnie Ray Gunn, Mildred Gunn, Francis Gunn, and Wilton Ledkins; her husband, Wilborn Peebles; daughter-in-law, Donna Peebles and grandson, Jarrod Peebles.
Mrs. Peebles is survived by her sister, Bonnie Mae Peebles of Bratt; four sons, Ricky (Becka) Peebles of Davisville, Fla., Roger (Rene) Peebles of McCullough, Ala., Randall (Cindy) Peebles of Flomaton, Ala. and Ronald (Darlene) Peebles of Bratt, Fla.; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and two more on the way.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Bratt Assembly of God Church with Rev. Ronald Broadhead officiating. Burial followed at Godwin Cemetery.

Alice Bush Whittington
Mrs. Alice Bush Whittington, age 87, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018 in Pensacola, Fla. She was a native of Pensacola and has resided in Byrneville, Fla. for the past fifty-seven years. She was an employee at Vanity Fair, secretary at Crary’s Dairy and Central Water Works. She was a member of the Byrneville Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years and father of her children, Sanford Bush; second husband, Joe Whittington; her parents; three sisters and one brother.
Mrs. Whittington is survived by her two daughters, Mary Bush (Lance) Carter of Byrneville and Sandra Bush (Chuck) Brown of Cantonment, Fla.; five grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Delbert Reddick officiating. Burial will follow at Byrneville Cemetery.
