The city pool at Houston Avery Park is now open to the public five days a week.
The pool opened Tuesday, May 29, at the municipal park, located just off Martin Luther King Drive. Admission for swimmers is $1 per person.
The public may swim from 2 to 7 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and from 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The pool will also be open for a second session, from 7 to 9 p.m., each Tuesday and Thursday.
It is closed to the public and available only for private parties on Saturdays and Sundays.
