Fla. Sales Tax Holiday this weekend
Florida’s 2017 Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday will begin at 12:01 a.m. this Friday, August 4, and will end at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 6. During the sales tax holiday period, qualifying items, including certain school supplies, clothing items, footwear, certain accessories, and personal computers and certain computer-related accessories purchased for noncommercial home or personal use will be exempt from state sales taxes. Clarence Shoemaker, Sr. Mr. Clarence Shoemaker, Sr., age 74, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Atmore Community Hospital. Atmore SAIL Center Director Charlotte Purvis displays the senior center’s newly acquired Automated External Defibrillator, used for shocking a heart back into rhythm.
