For many area residents, lighting a candle is a tradition. Each year, the staffs of Johnson Quimby Funeral Home and Atmore Memorial Chapel hold a Candlelight Memorial Service during which the public is invited to come by Johnson Quimby and light a candle in memory of someone who passed away this year or in a previous year.
