It’s hard to characterize the contestants in the Escambia County High School Womanless Beauty Pageant as beauties … but we’ll start there anyway.
The pageant, a fund-raising project of the school’s Triton Club, was held Friday, November 18. Stephanie McGhee is the club’s faculty sponsor.
The contestants were Joshua Richardson, Christian Brooks, Jacob Harrison, Joseph Bryan, Wesley Johnson, Ladanian Dailey, Trey Price, Tyrec Packer, De’Ante Bullard, Jimmy Overstreet, La’Karlton Nye, Joseph Bryant.
The highlight of the pageant was when “The Former Miss Triton” Rodney Owens (an ECHS teacher) took the stage in his lovely white evening gown to crown the new Miss Triton, De’Ante Bullard. Tyrec Packer came in second and Trey Price won third.
Sponsors for the event were Acapulco, Angela &Co., Tedder Automotive, Attorney Ben Brown, Gold’s BBQ, Atmore Animal Hospital, G&H Systems, Escambia Drug Store, David’s Catfish, Atmore Realty, PCI Entertainment Center, The Diner (Gulf Shores).
