Lassiter

Note: The following announcement was submitted by the candidate.

Shawn Lassiter announced his candidacy for the District 4 seat of the Atmore City Council on Monday.
I am the son of the late Billy and Faye Lassiter, and have lived in Atmore for 49 years. Thirty of those years has been in District 4.
I have been married to Hope for 24 years, and we have two children, Natalie and Sydnie.
After graduating from Escambia County High School in 1989, I attended Jefferson Davis Community College in 1992 and graduated with an associate’s degree.
After graduating, I went off shore as a consultant for marine logistics/vessel sharing in the oil and gas industry.
Continuing my career in logistics, in 2009, I became employed with Gulf Transport.
As general manager of Gulf Transport for 11 years and my tenure on the zoning board, my professional experience has provided me with skills necessary to help the people of Atmore. Atmore has been good to me and my family. I want Atmore to continue to prosper and move forward.
