Meetings of the Atmore City Council and Escambia County Commission, each initially scheduled for next Monday, October 14, have been moved to Tuesday, October 15.
The meetings were rescheduled due to Monday’s Columbus Day holiday, a federal and state holiday observed by both local governments.
The city council will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the City Council Chambers of Atmore City Hall, while the county commission will meet at 9 a.m. in the County Commission Chambers, Room 201 of the Escambia County Courthouse in Brewton.
City of Atmore administrative assistant Celia Lambert said the deadline for getting an item onto the council meeting agenda is 3 p.m. Thursday, October 17.
County Administrator Tony Sanks said the deadline for placing an item on the commission agenda has already passed.
