Flomaton woman caught with meth

Ward

A 40-year-old Flomaton woman was arrested by Escambia County Sheriff’s Office narcotics officers who found an unspecified quantity of a substance that tested positive for crystal amphetamine.

Sheriff’s office reports show that Bethanie Cash Ward of a McMurphy Drive address was arrested August 24 after she was stopped for driving her BMW erratically on a rural roadway. Ward was reportedly stopped around 11 a.m. “because she crossed the center line” of Old Atmore Road.

The deputies were reportedly given consent to search the vehicle and found “two (2) packages containing what was field tested positive as crystal meth.”

She was freed from the county jail after a $5,000 bond was posted on one count each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
