Loraine Yvonne Johnson Weinmann
Mrs. Loraine Yvonne Johnson Weinmann, age 76, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Monday, April 30, 2018. She was born in Robinsonville, Ala. to the later D.V. and Mamie Hardee Johnson. She was employed by First National Bank of Atmore, retiring after thirty-seven years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 90 for many years. She was a member of Robinsonville Baptist Church where she served as past church treasurer, assistant church treasurer and assistant Sunday School Director and a member of the choir. She coordinated the Samaritans Purse shoebox ministry; was a prayer warrior and whether you were family, friend or stranger she carried many burdens to the throne of God for others! She became an excellent seamstress and sewing was a favorite hobby. She used her creative talents to make cherished blankets for her children, grand and great-grandchildren that were the envy of many! She sewed therapy dolls, aprons, and other useful items for Alzheimer patients and Covenant Hospice. Many pillow case dresses, salvation dolls, and boys’ shorts were created with love at her sewing machine. She was an avid Auburn fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Aubrey Lee Johnson and Dennis V. Johnson, and great-granddaughter, Anna Grace Stanley.
Mrs. Weinmann is survived by her husband, Ron Weinmann of Atmore; her children and their families, Janet R. Simmons of Suwanee, Ga., April Simmons (Mike) Mullen of New Iberia, La., Tammy Simmons (Michael) Searcy of Robinsonville, and Shanon Simmons McWhorter and husband Bob of Wetumpka, Ala.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jarod Mullen, Cody Mullen, Jennifer Stanley, Tori Searcy, Erica Avant, Kelly McWhorter, Maly Mullen, Sutton Mullen, Kai Mullen, Robert Stanley and Colton Stanley; step-children, Ronell McKinley of Atmore, Brandon Weinmann of Atlanta, Ga., Scott Weinmann of Charleston, S.C., Crystal Weinmann of Medina, Tenn. and Joelyn Mitchell of Milton, Fla.; sister-in-law, Betty Johnson of Prospect, Ky.; her niece, Amanda Johnson of Louisville, Ky. and nephews, Al Johnson and family of Troy, Ala. and Todd Johnson and family of LaGrange, Ky.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 1 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Jones officiating. Burial followed in Robinsonville Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Bob McWhorter, Mike Mullen, Michael Searcy, Jarod Mullen, Cody Mullen and Robbie Stanley.
Honorary pallbearers were Jennifer Stanley, Tori Searcy, Erica McWhorter, Kelly McWhorter, Webb Nall and her closest friend, Georgia Brooks.

Shirley Calloway Waters
Mrs. Shirley Calloway Waters, age 63, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 at her home in Atmore, Ala. She was a native of Century, Fla. where she spent most of her life and has resided in Atmore for the past twelve years. She was a retired agent with Liberty National and was of the Independent Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Lila Calloway and a son, David Waters.
Mrs. Waters is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Donnie Waters of Atmore; two daughters, Jennifer Waters of Pensacola, Fla. and Jessie (Glenn) Glidwell of Flomaton, Ala.; three brothers, Floyd (Jackie) Calloway and Freddie (Tammy) Calloway, all of Century, Alton (Red) Calloway of Flomaton; two sisters, Sharon (Barney) Jones of Century and Renee (Ronnie) Marshall of Atmore; nine grandchildren; one very dear friend, Regina Parsons of Jasper, Ala. and a number of friends, relatives and other loved ones.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 4, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Johnson, Rev. Mike Harper and Rev. Durvin Spears officiating. Burial followed at Beulah Chapel Cemetery.
The family received friends Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Ricky Cofield, Timbo Cofield, Bubba Hammac, Joe Brown, Kent Calloway and Blake Calloway.

Alice B. Stacey
Ms. Alice B. Stacey, age 96, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Friday, May 4, 2018
in Atmore. She was retired from First National Bank of Atmore. She born in Robinsonville, Ala. to the late Robert and Annie Higdon Kearley. She was a member of the First Baptist of Atmore.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Julian Kearley, Alva Quarles, Aubrey Kearley and Evelyn Wood.
Ms. Stacey is survived by two sons, Wayne (Donna) Stacey of Gulf Shores, Ala. and Joseph Burl (Kim) Stacey of Arkansas; eight grandchildren and ten great-
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 7, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.
The family received friends Monday, May 7, 2018 from 1:30 until service time at 2:30 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Eula B. White Sullivan
Ms. Eula B White Sullivan, age 78, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 after an extended illness. She was a longtime member, volunteer and employee of The Sail Center of Atmore. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church and attended Brooks Memorial Baptist Church. Her strong faith and positive attitude were an inspiration to everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillian Scott White and a dear sister-in-law, Ann White.
Ms. Sullivan is survived by two sons, Wayne (Tracy) Sullivan of Flomaton, Ala. and Larry (Donna) Sullivan of Dothan, Ala.; a daughter, Kathy (Mike) Gilbert of Fountain, Fla.; grandchildren, Claire and Kate Sullivan of Dothan; brothers, John White, Jr., Lavon “Whitey” (Shirley) White, Lee Ander (Linda) White all of Century, Fla., Bob H. (Veronyka) White of Bay Minette, Ala.; many nieces, nephews and longtime friend and companion, Ray Fowler.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 7, 2018 at 10 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Earl Harrison officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Daniel Kelley, Alton White, David Burkett, Jonathan Burkett, Don Smith and Danny Woodham.

Amity Taiwan McBride

Ms. Amity Taiwan McBride, age 44, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018. She was born in Escambia County, Ala. to Patricia McBride. She was a 1992 graduate of Escambia County High School and continued her education at Faulkner State Community College and earned an Associates of Arts degree with honors in 1997 from Reid State Technical College in Evergreen, Ala. She was an employee of PCI gaming call center. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Holiness Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Christopher Beasley and grandmother, Corrine Beasley.
Ms. McBride is survived by two daughters, Anaya Montgomery and Aubrianna Williams; mother, Patricia McBride; grandmother, Dorothy McBride; four sisters, Quanah McBride, Michell (Mickey) McMillian, Acquanetta Longmire and Tanika Lee; grandmother, Dorothy McBride and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special friends: Tracey Dailey Yeldell, Gail Jefferson Malone, Krystal Jefferson Powers, Kim Powers, Twan Jackson, PCI staff and co-workers.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Grace Fellowship with Pastor Edgar Lee McCarthy officiating. Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mearlene Bishop
Mrs. Mearlene Bishop, age 81, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018, in Atmore. She had been an employed with Vanity Fair Mills. She was born in Albertville, Ala. to the late Jesse M. and Fairy Traylor Stephenson. She was a member of The Church of The Living God.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of forty-two, Fred L. Bishop; brother, Billy Traylor and sister, Willa Dean Pendergrass.
Mrs. Bishop is survived by two sons, Jesse Watson (Vicki) Bishop of Perdido, Ala., Rex L. (Michelle) Bishop of Loxley, Ala.; two daughters, Alice Hilton of Loxley and Kathryn (Frank) Gossett of Union Springs, Ala.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 2 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Earl Harrison and Bro. Joe Welch officiating. Interment will follow in Perdido Baptist Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Smith, Derek Smith, Justin Bishop, Anthony Kitts, Brandon Richardson, and Bo Bishop.
