A Jack Springs Road resident was arrested May 30 on arson and domestic violence charges after he allegedly used a husband-wife dispute as the catalyst for setting a fire that consumed the mobile home in which the couple lived. Three incumbents were successful in their bid for re-election on the Poarch Creek Tribal Council. Tribal Chairman Stephanie Bryan and At Large members Arthur Mothershed and Garvis Sells won handily without run-offs in the election held Saturday, June 3.
