Boy, 13, charged in burglary
A juvenile – reportedly a 13-year-old boy – was taken into custody December 5 by Escambia County deputies who responded to a report of a burglary in progress just outside the Poarch community. A 31-year-old Atmore man remained in the Escambia County Detention Center, under a $100,000 bond, this week after his November 29 arrest on burglary, theft and drug charges. City looks at new recycle program
With Atmore’s recycling program recently shut down, Mayor Jim Staff and Executive Assistant Celia Lambert have been researching alternatives, including visits to various facilities.
