Wood to speak at Liberty Church
Doug Wood from Dothan will minister on Sunday, Feb. 4, at 10:15 a.m., at Liberty Church. Doug was formally the youth and worship minister at Brooks Memorial Baptist Church in Atmore and is currently serving at Bay Springs Baptist Church in Dothan. Deacons delivering gifts
Each year, the Men’s Department at Mt. Gillead Missionary Baptist Church fills Christmas gift bags for the male residents at Atmore Nursing Center. This year, they delivered bags to 32 residents Wednesday, December 20. The bags contain caps and socks and toiletries. Thanksgiving bounty
Each year, members of the Escambia County (Ala.) Area Pastors’ and Ministers’ Wives Association take care of folks who may not have as much as some others. The Eighth Annual Live Nativity will be presented Friday and Saturday, December 8 and 9, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., 200 School Street, Frisco City.
