GECA play coming up
The Greater Escambia Council for the Arts is presenting Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs of the Black Forest this month. Sherrie Hursh and her daughter Dana Landis are directing the two casts – both are complete children’s casts, with a total of 36 kids. ages 7 to 18. One cast will perform Thursday and Saturday, the other on Friday and Sunday. In addition, they are performing 12 school shows.…

Benefit set for NHS student
Northview High School student Cade Allen went to Orlando during Christmas break to have surgery. During the procedure, the doctor nicked an artery. Cade has been in the hospital ever since and most of that time he has been in serious condition. Nokomis VFD annual meeting set
Residents of Nokomis and surrounding communities are invited to attend the annual meeting of the Nokomis Volunteer Fire Department Saturday, January 28, at 10 a.m. at the station located at 163 James Road.
