GECA to present ‘Charlotte’s Web’

Parent Resource Fair scheduled

Atmore Family Outreach is hosting an Atmore Parent Resource Fair Thursday, November 17, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Boxcar Willie on Ridgeley Street.The event is a partnership with several organizations to bring needed resources for parents of pre-school and school-age children to the Atmore community and Escambia County.

Special engine

Escambia County Commissioner Scottie Stewart had his camera ready when CSX’s special engine, a tribute to first responders, rolled through the county last week. The red and white locomotive, which carries the slogan, “Honoring Our First Responders,” on its sides, is appropriately designated by the rail company as Engine 911.

Pow Wow is back

Tuesday crash

A two-vehicle collision that happened Tuesday, November 15, around 8: 30 a.m. at the intersection of East Nashville Avenue and Medical Park Drive sent at least one person to Atmore Community Hospital by ambulance. The names of the drivers were not available at Tuesday’s press deadline.
