News Staff Report

The E! People’s Choice Awards is an American awards show, recognizing people in entertainment who are the favorites of the general public and fans, based on online votes.
The show has been held annually since 1975, with winners originally determined using Gallup Polls until the switch to online voting in 2005.
Madison “Madi” Prewett, daughter of Chad (director of operations for Auburn University’s basketball program) and Tonya Prewett and granddaughter of Atmore residents Glenda Prewett and Delores Peavy, is one of eight nominees for “Competition Contestant of 2020.
Madi was the finalist on the most recent season of The Bachelor but broke off her relationship with Peter Weber in what the network called a “mutual decision.”
To vote for Madison, and to vote in each of numerous other categories, search for E! People’s Choice Awards and follow the prompts. Each person can vote up to 25 times per day, giving all the votes to one nominee or dividing them between several.
Winners will be announced on the show’s November 15 episode, which airs at 8 p.m. CST.
