Barry Edward Autrey

Barry Edward Autrey, age 67, current resident and native of Atmore, Ala., passed away suddenly Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Ascension Sacred heart Covenant Care in Pensacola, Fla. He was a US NAVY Veteran.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held Friday, July 3, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Emmanuel’s Faith Center Church, 710 E. Ridgeley Street Atmore. Public viewing 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.

Funeral Service and Repast Funeral arrangements will be provided by Mobile Funeral Home, Mobile, Ala..

Alicia Celene Brown

Mrs. Alicia Celene Brown, age 62, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020. She was born in Mobile, Ala. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ervie Sellers Bray. 

Mrs. Brown is survived by her children, Daniel Keith Griffith (Donna) of Huxford, Ala., Shawn Edward Brown and Shaina Megan Brown, both of Atmore, Robby Edward (Jessica) Brown of Poarch, Ala.; five grandchildren, Alexandria Brown, Reha Hall, Jaselyn Brown, Fonzie Price and Kara Brown; one sister, Gina (Steve) Harrison, one special niece, Heather (Chris) Hughes and one special cousin, Vickie Carrier, all of Atmore.

Graveside services will be held Monday, July 6, 2020 at noon at Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Atmore with Bro. Michael Roley officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Shawn Brown, Daniel Griffith, Michael Roley, Lloyd Copeland, Chris Hughes and Robby Brown.

The family will receive friends Monday, July 6, 2020 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Bobbie Barlow Jones

Mrs. Bobbie Barlow Jones, age 84, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020 at her home in Atmore, Ala. She was a native of Pineville, Fla. and had resided in the Atmore area for most of her life. She was a retired bookkeeper with twenty-five years of service. She was a member and director of WMU with Presley Street Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Robert Jones; parents, Taylor and Lena Barlow; three brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Jones is survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 4, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Joseph Simpson officiating. Burial followed at Pinebarren Cemetery.
The family received friends Saturday, July 4, 2020 from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Cole Graves, Mason Graves, Eddie Mitchell, Randy Lucas, Billy Young and Taylor Young.

Liam Elijah Brown

Master Liam Elijah Brown, newborn, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Fairvew Cemetery.

Sarah Gibbs Beyette

Ms. Sarah Gibbs Beyette, age 83, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020. She was born in Atmore to the late Ardie D. Gibbs and Georgia Sarah Prestwood. She was an accountant for many years at Waller, Crook and Jones until her retirement and thereafter with Jerry Davis Farms. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Atmore.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ralph Gibbs and Larry Gibbs.

Ms. Beyette is survived by one daughter, Cara Roxanne Beyette of Foley, Ala., one grandson Christopher D. Beyette of Va. and three sisters, Gloria Lovell of N.C., Clara (Tommy) Burton of Ore. and Connie Ford of Va.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 10, 2020 at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Atmore.

Due to the current health care crisis and the safety of you and others, First Baptist Church of Atmore requires a facial mask.

Robert Lee Benjamin

Mr. Robert Lee Benjamin, age 78, of Evergreen, Ala., passed away Friday, June 26, 2020. He was born to the late Ned and Annie D. Benjamin. He was loved and respected by all who knew him and he leaves a legacy of love.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rosetta Bradley-Benjamin; brothers, Earnest Lee Benjamin, Willie James Benjamin; sister, Eda Williams, sister-in-law, Ranice Benjamin, nephew, Robert Benjamin, great-nephew, Ronnie L. Smith, Jr. and great-great-great niece, Jakeela N. Palmer.

Mr. Benjamin is survived by his children, Anita Bradley, David (April) Bradley, Sarah Bradley, Jenifer (Keith) Square; four grandchildren, Tiana Smith, Ariel Smith, Camron L. Johnson, Kashman Square and two great-grandchildren, Peyton Crenshaw, Aubrey Smith; two sisters, Eula Mae Goldsmith, Elizabeth Benjamin; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 3, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Christian Memorial Funeral Home. Interment followed at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church.                           

Pallbearers were his nephews and cousins.

Flower bearers were his nieces and cousins.

Mr. Demarcus Lawson, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.
