LaQuanda Peavy Williams was named 2019-2020 Elementary Teacher of the Year at John Love Elementary School in Jacksonville, Fla., where she teaches kindergarten.
Williams is a 2003 graduate of Escambia County High School and a 2007 graduate of The University of Alabama with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education. She is currently pursuing her M.A. in Educational Leadership.
Williams is the daughter of Linda Peavy Brooks, granddaughter of Mary A. Peavy and the late Willie James Peavy and the late Lucy Howard.
