It’s 96 for Legion Post 90

Members of Billy Glenn Rushing American Legion Post 90 are celebrating two milestones this week.
The American Legion is 100 years old and Atmore’s Post 90 is 96 years old.
You’re invited to celebrate with them this Thursday, September 12, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Legion, corner of Church and Main.
Commander Ron Bradstreet of the American Legion Department of Alabama, a veteran of Vietnam and the Gulf War, will be in attendance at Post 90. Mayor Jim Staff will address the gathering,
Post 90 Commander Billy Elder said those in attendance may enjoy free hamburgers and hot dogs, as long as they last.
The public is also encouraged to stay and dance to the music of Retro, which is scheduled to start playing at 7 p.m.
Post officials urge the public to attend the centennial celebration.
