Chamber sets summer blow out

The Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce with the support of the 2019 Trustees will hold the first “Big Summer Blow Out” in Atmore on Thursday, July 18.This event will begin with an after-hours shopping event downtown, 5-7 p.m., incorporate a downtown community lead “Walking Audit,” 5:30-6:45, include a community bike parade starting at 7:15, and conclude with an after-hours community Splash Pad Glow Party, 7-9 p.m.
At the conclusion of the after-hours shopping event and walking audit, community members are asked to participate in a bike parade which will begin between First National Bank & Trust and The Yellow Garden. The bike parade will begin at 7:15 when we enjoy a ride, using a temporary bike lane, down Trammell Street to the Splash Pad.
A free event for all to attend, participants will be able to help support Youth Leadership Atmore by purchasing a dinner plate of hot dogs, chips, and drink from Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. of Atmore.
An event with a cause, attendees are asked to help support the Atmore Area Christian Food Ministries by bringing a canned food item for donation. All donors will receive a glow bracelet to be worn during the event.
