10 vie for DYW title

Ten young ladies are vying for the title and college scholarships in the Escambia County Distinguished Young Women, a national scholarship program, which will be held Saturday, July 27, 6:30 p.m., Woodfin Patterson Auditorium on Brewton campus of Coastal Alabama Community College.
Tickets are available from any participant for $10 each and will be available at the door the night of the program for $15.
Distinguished Young Women was formerly known as Junior Miss. It is a scholarship program, rather than a pageant.
