Tom Byrne Park summer schedule

If school is almost out … if the temperatures are climbing … if it’s almost summer … it must be time for swimming at Tom Byrne Park. And, for some, it’s time for swimming and diving lessons.
Make note of the following schedule.
Swimming and diving lessons
Registrations for the first session of swimming and diving lessons will be Tuesday, May 28, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the Tom Byrne Park pool.
Lessons will be June 3 through June 21 with classes at 9, 10 and 11. These classes will meet Monday through Friday for one hour each. Afternoon lessons will be during the same time frame with classes being 5:20, 5:50 and 6:20. These classes are one-on-one, 30 minutes in length.
The cost for all lessons is $40 per student per session.
There will be three sessions:
First session: noted above
Second session: June 24 – July 12
Third session: July 15 – August 2
Lap swimming is available to the public on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5 to 6:45. The cost is admission price.
Aerobics will be taught on Tuesday and Thursday Nights from 5:30 – 6:30. The cost will be $40 per person.

Public swimming
The Tom Byrne Park pool will open for public swim Tuesday, May 29 at 2 p.m.
Pool hours for the summer are as follows:
Monday through Friday – 2 p.m. to 56 p.m.
Saturday – 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday nights – 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The pool will be closed Saturday, June 1, but will be open on Saturdays beginning June 8. The pool will be open for 10 weeks beginning May 29 and closing August 2.
The cost is for ages 15 and under is $1; ages 16 and up is $2.
Private pool parties
The pool is available for private parties on Monday nights 5 to 9; and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
