Singing cowboy: Aiden Nelson of Perdido loves two things – music and horses. Saturday, he had the chance to enjoy both.

With an eye to the weather Friday, Cross Point Baptist Church members were busy setting up for the Spring Forward Spring Festival Saturday. Though threatening all day, the weather held Saturday for folks to come out and enjoy gospel music, vendors, a car show, good food and fellowship. And for the kids, there were inflatables and a pony ride.
It was the first event of this nature for the church which is emphasizing outreach. Proceeds from the festival will go toward feeding local families.
