CIEDA purchases Fairfield Inn and Suites

Special to Atmore News

Creek Indian Enterprises Development Authority (CIEDA) announces the purchase of the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott in Atmore.
Located adjacent to Interstate 65 in the Rivercane development just a stone’s throw from Wind Creek Casino Atmore and next door to CIEDA’s recently purchased Holiday Inn Express, this hotel property will be the eighth hotel investment property for CIEDA.
“We are excited to add the Fairfield Inn and Suites, Atmore to our current portfolio of hotel properties,” Stephanie A. Bryan, Tribal Chair and CEO, Poarch Band of Creek Indians, said. “To have a hotel in our area affiliated with the Marriott brand increases the amount of people making this a stop on their travels, continuing to help our local economy grow.”
The Fairfield Inn & Suites is considered a midscale level hotel property within the Marriott brand’s Classic Select tier.
“The addition of this hotel property in Atmore allows us to expand our hotel offerings to a wider variety of travelers,” said CIEDA President / CEO Cody Williams. “We are pleased to be able to invest in Atmore and its tourism industry.”
Fairfield Inn and Suites is a part of the Ritz-Carlton, Marriott and Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) rewards programs, allowing guests to utilize reward benefits across 29 hotel brands.
“This is a great hotel which fulfills the needs of a specific niche traveler to the Atmore area,” said Fairfield Inn and Suites General Manager Angela Carter. “With a solid client base already established, we are confident of the property’s continued success.”
Yedla Management Company will manage the day-to-day hotel operations of the property.
