Vehicular homicide – Passenger dies, charges pending against DUI suspect
An Atmore man, driver of the only vehicle involved in an April 14 crash on Alabama 21, was initially arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Now he could also face a vehicular homicide charge. Train plan derailed?
With the inclusion in the appropriations bill recently signed by President Donald Trump of almost $1.3 billion dollars for operation and expansion of Amtrak rail service, there is a good chance that passenger trains will soon return to the Gulf Coast. The Escambia County Middle and High School Choirs will present a Spring Concert on May 3, and a mass choir event immediately following the concert is also in the works.
