It’s time for WSD

Williams Station Day, Atmore’s heritage festival, will be held this Saturday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Chamber Executive Director Emily Wilson says the day will have something for everyone – juried art, non-juried art, kids’ activities, entertainment, great food, and much more.
The only thing that some folks will miss is the 5K run which was to be replaced with an “Amazing Race” but that event did not materialize. The race was not called off until Monday afternoon, so you may note it’s included on the schedule in our Williams Station Day special section in this edition. The section went to press Monday morning before the race was postponed until next year.
There’s still time to be a WSD patron. Through the Patrons Program, committed community members are able to donate a minimum of $100 in support of the exhibitors at Williams Station Day, and, in turn, receive $100 in Patrons Dollars, a ribbon to be worn at Williams Station Day identifying them as a Patron, and an invite to the exclusive, invitation only Patrons Party. This year’s party will be held Friday, October 26, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the home of Austin and Taylor Lee. For more information on the Patrons Program, contact the Chamber.
