More added to Quickest Quack

If you’ve been keeping up with the upcoming (this Saturday, August 25) Quickest Quack on the Creek, you’ll be interested to know that more has been added.
The Atmore Memorial VFW Auxiliary to Post 7016 is hosting Quickest Quack, a rubber duck race at Magnolia Branch Wildlife Reserve. Registration begins at 10 a.m., with “Quack Off” at 11 a.m.
Auxiliary President Gayle Johnson said the route has been mapped out and will take about 30 minutes. The ducks will be put in at the pavilion area.
Sack lunches (barbecue and hot dogs) will be available for $5 each.
Magnolia Branch is hosting a corn hole tournament.And there will be door prizes.
How do you participate? Sponsor a duck by purchasing a wristband for $10 from any member of the Auxiliary or at Atmore News, 128 S. Main Street.
All funds raised will go into the Auxiliary’s general fund to assist veterans, their families, and program goals.
