The Atmore Lions Club had a special meeting Wednesday, February 21.
District Governor of Lions Club International Claudia Wigglesworth, Daleville Lions Club, was on hand to present awards for years of service.
This year, the local Lions Club celebrates its 90th year. Robert Maxwell has been a member for 65 of those 90 years. As a note of interest, his son Richard is in the club, and Richard’s son Chapman is in the club.
Patty Helton Davis was honored for 20 years of service, Anne Hetzel for 10.
Lions Club International will be 101 years old in June.
