Beta State Organization of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International held a Leadership Training Day on February 24, at Dalraida Church of Christ in Montgomery. Approximately 130 members attended the event which featured Linda Navorska, Southeast Regional Director, as the presenter.
Attending from Gamma Omega Chapter in Atmore were incoming chapter President Mary Beth Lancaster and Beta State Immediate Past President Nancy Karrick.
Navorska presented the topics of leadership characteristics, styles of leadership, and how to encourage leadership in others.
Members were actively involved in small and large groups for discussion and interaction.
Navorska creatively used four children’s books to illustrate her points and later gave those as door prizes.
