Valentine’s Day at the SAIL Center

Mayor Jim Staff, left, and Center Manager Charlotte Purvis, right, sport the new #DiscoverAtmore shirts. John Dorriety, next to the mayor, and David Smith won shirts as door prizes.

Valentine’s Day was celebrated in a big way at the Atmore SAIL Center last week.

PeeWee Powell, Chipper Staff, John Dorriety, and others fried fish and chicken for lunch. David’s Catfish supplied Cole slaw.

Mayor Jim Staff provided four tee-shirts – two for the Center’s staff and two for door prizes. The shirts are the #DiscoverAtmore shirts that are part of the Chamber of Commerce initiative to promote Atmore.

Another door prize was a pillow made and donated by Ann Amerson.

Then it was time for the crowning of the SAIL Center Valentine king and queen as selected by the Center attendees. Serving as this year’s royalty are Hilton Hall and Annie Bowen.

Members of Youth Leadership Atmore were on hand to serve seniors and their guests.
