Louise Newton Fillingim Dockens
Mrs. Louise Newton Fillingim Dockens, age 89, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 in Century, Fla. She was a native of Byrneville, Fla. and has resided in Christian Home, Fla. since 1976. She retired from Abernathy Hospital with fifteen years of service and was a member of the Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Thomas F. Fillingim, Sr. and late husband, Harley Dockens; one son, Neil C. Fillingim; daughter-in-law, Sonya Dyess Fillingim; daughter, Margaret Gail Fillingim Chavers; son-in-law, Seaborn Chavers and granddaughter, Crystal Fillingim Criswell.

Mrs. Dockens is survived by two sons, John J. (Patsy) Fillingim of Jay, Fla. and Thomas (Fay) Fillingim, Jr. of McDavid, Fla.; two step-sons, Harley Lee (Betty) Dockens of Poquoson, Va. and Randy (Hedi) Dockens of New Town, Pa.; one daughter, Susan (Leslie) Barnes of Christian Home; two sisters, Duffie Wells and Martha Sims., both of Bluff Springs, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Emma Lee Newton of Bluff Springs; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 11, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Hawkins and Bro. Wayne Long officiating. Burial followed at Christian Home Cemetery.

The family received friends Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were her grandsons, Billy Criswell, Cameron Fillingim, Blake Barnes, Dustin Rector, Lavon Parham, Arron Fillingim and Michael Fillingim.

Honorary pallbearers were Herman Armstrong, Don Grant, Joe Lister, Robert Newton, Benny Dockens, Donald Ray Dockens and Buddy Newton.

Brenda Joyce Brown Seale
Ms. Brenda Joyce Brown Seale, age 72, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in Atmore. She was born in Atmore to the late Dempsey D. and Mamie Goodson Donaldson. She taught piano lessons for many years and was a dedicated home missionary for the Southern Baptist Association. She was a member of Brooks Memorial Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; several brothers and sisters; grandchild, Samuel Lambert and husband, Rev. Fred Brown.

Ms. Seale is survived by her son, Kevin (Sarah) Presley of Fountain, Colo. and a daughter, Teresa Mothershed of Atmore; grandchildren, Amanda (Jon) Farrar Lambert, Robert W. Farrar, Jr., Lindsay Farrar (Ben) Tuberville and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in McCullough Cemetery.

The family received friends Monday, December 11, 2017 from 10 until service time at 11 a.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Annie Bell Lambert
Ms. Annie Bell Lambert, age 91, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Atmore Nursing Center.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced by Turner Funeral Chapel LLC at a later date.

Alonzo Bright, Jr.
Mr. Alonzo Bright, Jr. of Atmore, Ala., passed away Sunday, December 10 2017 at his residence.

Ms. Hattie M. Brown of Atmore, Ala., passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017 at her residence.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Destiny Worship Center.

The family  receivde friends Friday, December 15, 2017 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Christian Memorial Funeral Home.
