Programs planned to honor veterans

Veterans Day is Saturday, November 11. The following special programs have been planned to honor veterans.

Ernest Ward Middle School
Ernest Ward Middle School invites all veterans to their Veterans Day Program on Tuesday, November 7, at 9:15 a.m., in the gym. The school’s band and chorus will perform patriotic music and a special dramatic presentation will be performed by the drama class.

The guest speaker this year is Master at Arms First Class Wartley-Banks, from Pensacola.

Perdido Elementary/Middle School
The students, faculty and staff of Perdido Elementary / Middle School invite veterans and their immediate family to a Veterans Day celebration Wednesday, November 8, 8:30 a.m., in the gym.

This year’s program will feature a special guest speaker, the Baldwin County High School JROTC Flag and Rifle Drill Teams, and Perdido Middle School Band.

There will be a reception immediately following the program in the cafeteria. All veterans and their immediate family members are invited to attend this annual event.

The dress is casual. Please check with any friends or family members who are veterans to make sure they know they are invited.

VFW Auxiliary
Atmore Memorial VFW Auxiliary will provide free breakfasts for all veterans, Saturday, November 11, 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., Anchor Café, 211 N. Trammell Street.

City of Atmore
The city will host its annual Monday, November 13, 4:30 p.m., at city hall.
