Greater Mount Triumph Missionary Baptist Church is holding a Women’s Day program this Sunday, August 20, at the 11 a.m. service, with guest speaker Theresa M. Patterson.
The speaker is the Coordinator for Early Childhood Development with the Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education. She holds a BS in Early
Childhood Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
In the area of community service, Patterson is a member of the following:
* National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Incorporated (Southeast Regional Financial Secretary, Communications Chair)
* Junior League of Montgomery
* Cleveland Avenue YMCA Board
* MEOW (Music Education on Wheels) Board
* UAB Alumni Association (former Board member)
* Auburn Alumni Association
* Samford Parent Association
* Arrowhead Homeowners Association, serves as Secretary
* Camellia Bowl Committee, serves as Chair, was named 2016 Volunteer of the Year
She was also named to the 2017 RSVP Magazine “The List.”
Patterson is a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church. She is the mother of one son, Andrew Douglas Patterson, a senior attending Samford University where he also runs track for the university.
All are invited to attend the Women’s Day service.
