EA state track champs … again

The Escambia Academy Track Team continues their winning ways with their latest competition.

The team won the AISA (Alabama Independent School Association) State Track Championship the third time in a row. The meet was held at the Gulf Shores Sports Complex Wednesday and Thursday, April 12 and 13.

In addition to the overall team championship, there were other standouts among team members.

Kris Brown was named the meet MVP for the third time in a row.

The 4×800 Relay Team won first place.

The 4×100 Relay Team set a new state record by breaking the record they set last year. The new record is 43.63; previous record was 44.33.
