Melbus Irene Rayborn Roberts
Mrs. Melbus Irene Rayborn Roberts, age 81, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 in Mobile, Ala. She was a native of Bay Minette, Ala. and a resident of Atmore, Ala. for most of her life. She retired from Vanity Fair with twenty years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Erby Lee Roberts; a son, Brent E. Roberts; daughter, Marilyn F. Parker; two sisters; two brothers and son-in-law, Lawrence Capers.

Mrs. Roberts is survived by one son, Darrell (Karen) Roberts of Ozark, Mo.; two daughters, Lettie Marie Capers of Gonzales, La. and Deborah (Michael) Doucet of Prairieville, La.; one brother, Jimmy Rayborn of Thomasville, Ala.; one sister, Bobbie Pearson of Poach, Ala.; ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Welch and Sis. Helen Stewart officiating. Burial followed at Guy’s Chapel Cemetery.

The family received friends Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Aaron Roberts, Gregory Capers, Bradley Capers, Erby Parker, Nick Roberts and Dempsey Rolin.

Honorary pallbearers were Ronald Rolin and Bernard Ledlow.

Timmy Danny White
Mr. Timmy Danny White, age 52, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 in Bay Minette, Ala. He was a native and life-long resident of Bay Minette. He was a member of the Full Power Holiness Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley White and his first wife, Jacquelin Michelle Boatwright White.

Mr. White is survived by his father, Malcolm V. White of Bay Minette; wife, Janella White of Bay Minette; two sons, T.J. (Jessica) White and A.J. (Emily) Gardner of Bay Minette; four daughters, Becky (Shawn) Cooper, Samantha (Jason) Daniels and Sierra White, all of Bay Minette, Tiffany (Jacob) Clabough of Paxton, Fla.; three brothers, Jimmy (Casey) White and Mack (Sherry) White, all of Bay Minette, Eugene (Jane) White of Perdido, AL; two sisters, Jan Mosley and Winona (Donnie) McDonald, all of Bay Minette; eighteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 17, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Full Power Holiness Church with the Rev. Joe Welch and Rev. J.P. Lambert officiating. Burial followed at Pine Grove Cemetery.

The family received friends Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Full Power Holiness Church.

Pallbearers were Gary McDonald, Danny White, Brent White, Michael White, B.J. Blackmon and Mickey Moore.

Honorary pallbearers were J.P. Shivers, Donald Brown and Jackson Porter.

Lewis P. Oden
Mr. Lewis P. Oden, age 58, passed away Saturday, March 11 2017, in Bourg, La. He had fought a long battle with cancer and was in home hospice at the time of his death. He was a native of Mobile, Ala. and although he lived many places, he considered Brewton, Ala. his home.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Oden, and fathers Henry Roberson and Perry Oden.

Mr. Oden is survived by his wife, Marcia Tipton Oden of Brewton; two daughters, Jolene (Michael) Cosey of Brewton and Amber (Leroy) Gilling of Chauvin, La; three sons, Robert (Lindsey) Oden of Washington, D.C., Jerod (Tabitha) Oden of Brewton, AL, and Justin Oden of Brewton; brother, David Oden of Beatrice, Ala. and sister, Tammy Oden Barnhill of Roundrock, Texas as well as ten grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery.

The family received friends Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Jeannine Baldo Eubanks
Mrs. Jeannine Baldo Eubanks, age 87, of Walnut Hill, Fla., passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at her residence. She was a secretary for Escambia Grain Corp. She was born in Mobile, Ala. to the late George Phillip and Marquerite Jenson Baldo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George William Eubanks, Sr.; one brother, Milton Baldo; two sisters, Christina Adams and Elaine Baldo Bache.

Mrs. Eubanks is survived by three sons, Bill (Marilyn) Eubanks, Jr. and Mike (Vickey) Eubanks, all of Walnut Hill, Dan (Lisa) Eubanks of Mobile, Ala.; a special niece, Pam (Larry) Cirillo; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 10 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ted Bridges officiating. Interment followed in Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Phillip Eubanks, John McAnally, Tab Jernigan, Heath Ward, Alvin Myrick and James Mason.

Honorary pallbearers were Ed Nowlin and Jeff Anderson.

Julia Ann McGhee Stacey
Mrs. Julia Ann McGhee Stacey, age 74, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at her residence. She was a die operator at Masland Carpets. She was born in Atmore to the late Doris M. “Buck” and Lunie Mae Presley McGhee. She was a member of Poarch Community Church, and a member of Poarch Band of Creek Indians.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Stacey; sisters, Hattie Mae McGhee and Francis Robbins; brothers: John A. McGhee and Clifton McGhee.

Mrs. Stacey is survived by her children, Juliette (Lary) Haikey of Oklahoma, of Poarch, Ala., Lathaniel (Pam) McGhee of Pensacola, Fla., Ruthie (Ben) Wiggins of Old Salem, Ala., Rodney McGhee, Stephanie (Keith) Bryan and Bernice McGhee, all of Poarch; two sisters, Marie Martin, Maxine Ellen Johnson and a sister-in-law, all of Poarch; sixteen grandchildren and thirty three-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 20, 2017 at 2 p.m. from Atmore Memorial Chapel with Bro. Joel White and Bro. Trevoe Daughtry officiating. Interment followed in Judson Creek Indian Cemetery.

The family received friends Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 6 p.m. until Monday morning at Poarch Community Church

John Preston Madison  
Mr. John Preston “Bubbie” Madison, age 63, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017. He was born in Atmore, Ala. and was a 1972 graduate of Escambia County High School.

He was a Native American of the Creek Tribe. He served the Zales Jewelry Company for thirty years

He was preceded him in death by his parents, John P. “JP” Madison and Bennie “Cooter” Madison; brother, Sonny and two sisters, Net and Beth.

Mr. Madison is survived by his brother, Kyle and companion, Russell L. Marx.

He was cremated at his request. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Atmore, Ala.

Arzzie Bell McMillan Cunningham
Mrs. Arzzie Bell McMillan Cunningham, age 78, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017 at West Gate Nusing Home. She was born in Evergreen, Ala. to the late Frank and Julia McMillan.

Mrs. Cunningham is survived by two nieces, Lillie McMillan Askew of Brewton, Ala. and Prather Stinson of Seattle, Washington; two great-nieces, Sharecka Askew and Felica McMillan; four great-nephews, Marcus, Howard, Adrian (Jamonica) McMillan and AnJovan Askew along with a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held at Second St. Siloam Baptist Church, Brewton, Ala. with Rev. Dr. Willie J. Blue Pastor officiating. Interment followed at Baptist Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were her nephews and friends.

Flower bearers were her great-grand-children, family and friends.

Cazie James Bolling II   
Mr. Cazie James Bolling II, age 81, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017. He was born in Century, Fla. to the late Dr. Casie James Bolling, Sr. and Mattie Harris Bolling. He attended George Washington Carver High School. He received his Nurse’s Aide Certificate from the United Agricultural and Technical College and his Computer Science Certificate from MTI Business School in New York. He was a veteran of the United States Army as a parachuter.

He loved to fish and play pool.

He was preceded in death by children, Cazie J. Bolling III and Valerie Bolling-Lee; siblings, Wendolyn, Marie, Lenel and Joan.

Mr. Bolling is survived by his wife, Georgia Adelle Bolling; four children, Lynette Walker and Alfred Bolling-aka-Abdullah, both of Albany, N.Y., Clarence Bolling of Atlanta, Ga., Joyce Miller Roosevelt of New York; one sister, Carolyn Bolling; nineteen grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren and expecting; two great-great-grandchildren; four nieces; special cousins Willie Cottrell III (Bug) and special cousin/friend Isiah Culliver Jr and a host of relatives and friends

Funeral services were held Monday, March 20, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Edward Point Christian Church Disciples of Christ with Rev. Lamar Randall, Pastor officiating. Interment followed at Century Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Micheal Jones, Jr., Christopher Anderson, Richard Robinson, Sr., Isiah Culliver, Jr., Gregory McCall and Ray Williams.
