Legacy Leadership Institute announced

The Area Agency on Aging and the University of South Alabama will present a free Legacy Leadership Institute for Older Adults 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., March 27 – 31, at the Faculty Club on the USA campus.

During that week, local seniors take college classes on aging issues, advocacy and civic engagement, and learn about volunteering for programs that impact older adults.

Participants graduate and are awarded a certificate on the final day of class.

The purpose of the Legacy Leadership Institute is to inspire, engage and encourage retired professionals and baby boomers to learn more about the world of aging and aging services, and about volunteer opportunities at the AAA.
