UB, PHD hosting credit education workshop – Learn more about credit, mortgage financing

United Bank representatives Bryan Chandler and Scott Hehman will be joined by PHD Realty LLC in hosting a complimentary workshop Tuesday, January 24, from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m., at the Atmore Chamber of Commerce. Vice President Chandler manages United Bank’s Mortgage Services division. Hehman manages the United Bank office in Loxley and is a former Consumer Credit Counseling Specialist.

With more than 50 years combined experience in mortgage lending and credit counseling, these experts will present a curriculum that includes scenarios to help attendees gain a better understanding of their credit score, maintenance of credit, and rebuilding of credit. In addition, there will be valuable information relating to how the items mentioned above impact your ability to qualify for a mortgage.

Representatives will be on site to answer questions regarding mortgage financing and offer specific solutions to clearing up credit blemishes.
“United Bank is committed to financial literacy and we take pride in being a trusted resource for credit education,” said Bob Jones, President and CEO of United Bank. “Building and monitoring credit is important; having a solid foundation in credit education is key to the understanding of credit and the role credit can play in your life. In today’s complex financial market, a person’s credit impacts not just the rate paid on a loan, but also other consumer expenses such as automobile, homeowners and life insurance.”

“Credit plays a large role in the home buying process,” said Patty Helton Davis, broker and owner of PHD Realty. “This is why PHD Realty is excited to partner with United Bank to bring such a comprehensive workshop on credit education to the community.”

The complimentary workshop is open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. RSVPs are encouraged. To reserve your spot, please RSVP to Bryan Chandler at 251.965.5315 or email at bryan.chandler@unitedbank.com.
