Top spellers compete

The top spellers in grades 3 through 8 in Escambia County public schools participated in a district-wide spelling bee Thursday, January 12, at Flomaton High School.

The media center was packed as seven students in grades 3 through 5 and six students in grades 6 through 8 went head to head with some really tough words.

Abby Burkett and Jaelyn Bloodsworth will compete in the county-wide bee, which includes city schools and private schools, on February 8.
